Dudley Quinlivan Donates Computers for the Special Education Unit in a High School
With the world’s population reaching 7 billion, it’s easy to consider yourself minute like a grain of sand in a vast desert. Bringing about change to affect the lives of hundreds and thousands of people might seem like an impossible task being an individual, but Dudley Quinlivan has proved otherwise. He has exemplified that one man can bring about change significant enough to improve the lives of many people.
Besides donating money to educate the illiterate, or making a large contribution to promote football in society, Dudley Quinlivan is always busy finding ways to enhance the community as a whole.
Recently, Dudley Quinlivan assisted a local school in Queensland, Australia, by donated half a dozen computers. Mudgeeraba State School was in short supply of computers and this was limiting the students’ learning process. In today’s day and age, having computer literacy is almost as important as being able to speak English. Dudley Quinlivan of course already realizes the importance of both these aspects because he also donates regularly to aid people in learning English. These computers will have a profound effect on the lives of the students using them. For many it might be the first time they will have access to a computer so there is a lot to learn for them, thanks to Dudley Quinlivan. Students will be utilizing these computers for everyday lessons in the Special Education Unit.
When asked how he felt about the contribution, he stated, “I regard education as the right of everyone on the planet. Donations like this make such a difference to the lives of the special needs kids”. A father of four, Dudley Quinlivan was overjoyed knowing that these computers would play a positive role in the development of these children. Now the special needs students at Mudgeeraba State School will no longer be denied progress due to the lack of computers.
